Planning at Work

Workshop Aim

This module introduces the supervisor to the function of planning, its importance and the activities involved. It develops skills in planning day-to-day activities and short-term projects. This module is about developing the self-discipline necessary to draw up and sustain plans. It challenges the supervisors to analyse where they are not planning effectively and to put in mechanisms that make it easier for them to plan.

Competency Outputs

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
  • Identify the main activities involved in planning
  • Prioritise their objectives
  • Prepare a plan
  • Analyse their plan to identify and address restraining and driving forces
