Problem Solving

Workshop Aim

This module equips managers with the skills necessary to analyse and solve the day-to-day and operational problems that they experience in the work place. It places emphasis on proactive anticipation and prevention as well as on solution orientation. The focus is on getting the manager to examine the underlying causes of problems and not to jump into addressing superficial symptoms, or surface problems. Research has shown that managers who can anticipate and prevent problems from occurring are amongst the most successful in their fields.

  • Identify the exact nature of the problems existing in their unit
  • Analyse the problems to determine the root causes
  • Identify and test possible solutions to determine the best course of action
  • Conduct an interactive problem-solving process to involve their team
